Your Pathway to Good Health
I was first drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine’s holistic approach to heal the mind and the body as one entity, and to treat the cause of the disease rather than the symptoms. My pathway to becoming a doctor of Chinese Medicine was a calling I found through meditation and yoga at a time in my life where I felt a shift in my spiritual body/mind. At this time I needed a bit of guidance to bring me to where I am now. It is my passion to help others aim for optimal health and wellness.
I moved to Vancouver from Saskatchewan and love calling the west coast home. I support the acupuncture community by volunteering my spare time and I am a member of Acupuncturists Without Borders. We volunteer in countries in need of alternative medicine and I recently returned from Taiwan. In my practise I use a Traditional Chinese Medicine approach and incorporate modalities such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, food therapy and herbs.
I hold a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine and I am a Board Certified Acupuncturist. I have had the opportunity to complete my internship in Taiwan with Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor's at the Tzu Chi Buddhist Hospital. There I was exposed to Chinese Medicine in its rawest form and treated many different ailments including shingles, stroke, gynaecological issues, scoliosis, pain, and more.
Additionally, I have studied under a pulse master of the Shen-Hammer Pulse Diagnosis. This has taught me how to discern disharmonies of the body, mind, emotion and spirit; it can assess constitution, one’s early and current life and predict possible future pathologies.
In her down time you can find me at the beach with my SUP, playing recreational sports, hiking, yoga, spending time with friends or enjoying the outdoors.
